Dear Friends,
Over the last several weeks, I have received several phone calls from my friends in Romania and Moldova asking me if we can help them again as they continue to serve Ukrainians in Romania, Moldova, and deep inside Ukraine. One of the missionaries (Natalia) I have been sending Ukrainian donations to wrote the following updates on Facebook.

UPDATE and PRAYER | November 12, 2022 | Day of war 262
In Moldova, some wood was purchased this week directly from the forest. It will be offered first to families with young children and the elderly, then hopefully to others. Please help Ukrainians and Moldovans get wood.
In Moldova, dad visited and took supplies to Ukrainian refugees hosted in a village in the south.
Elena from Nikolaev shared that for the last few days, they had lots of rockets in the area where she works. Please pray for protection for her as she serves daily after work.
With your help, we were able to purchase 100 winter blankets for refugees here in Bucharest. Families come to the church weekly to pick them up and get other needed supplies, including Bibles.
We continue to provide weekly support with food supplies for the Buftea and Peris refugee centers near Bucharest.
Biggest needs:
- wood stoves
- generators
- cold meds
- thermal sleeping bags
- warm coats, boots, hats, and gloves
UPDATE and PRAYER | November 4, 2022 | Day of war 254
The first Russian rocket fell on Moldovan territory on Monday morning. No casualties, but lots of shattered windows, damaged roofs, and scared people. “Will this happen again?”
A possible aim was the dam across the border in Ukraine to destroy any sources of electricity.
My friends in Ukraine send me videos and photos describing how difficult it is to prepare meals, stay warm, live in the dark, and educate kids. Please PRAY for a mild winter.
The closest Ukrainian-Moldovan border to us is also closed due to no electricity on the Ukrainian side.
My friend wrote, “This Monday, we had 50 missiles, not drones, coming to Ukraine. Forty-five of them were destroyed by the Ukrainian army. They were targeted at energy plants. We heard two blasts and later saw a cloud in the sky far on the horizon. But I do not have fear. The disappearing electricity is something we have to learn to deal with. For now, we will stay in Ukraine.”
We are currently looking into helping purchase wood stoves and generators.
Wood stoves at the moment are $120/ stove.
Generators are around $450/ generator. For now, they are still found in Ukraine, but they might have a short supply this winter.
Drinking water is only possible in some areas of Ukraine by standing in line to fill your daily bottles. In some places, you must also line up to get your daily bread. Please PRAY for Jesus to provide unending supplies of bread and water.
Fifty warm blankets have been purchased and handed out to different refugees in Bucharest.
A constant supply of basic needs (clothes, sanitary products) is kept at the church. Our Ukrainian friends restock as they come to pick up a blanket, suitcases, or glasses.
