Now, he faces one of his own: a critical health challenge. After struggling with his weight and the impact of family genetics and mental health issues, doctors have determined that bariatric surgery is his best path forward. However, his insurance won’t cover the procedure, and he has researched switching insurances, medical share programs, grants, flying to other countries for procedures, etc.

The cost for this surgery can start at $120,000 when billable to insurance, but his cost without insurance is $50,000. The majority needs to be paid upfront, and the surgery must be scheduled before the end of the month.
