Erin grew up in small town America in a Christian home. She had a strong foundation in faith, but wanted to grow and understand her faith on a deeper level, so she enrolled in Bible college. She graduated from The Master's College at the top of her class, but found herself with more questions than answers when it came to her faith. After a few years of struggling with these questions, Erin realized that knowledge about God and knowledge of God are two completely different things. She shifted her focus to knowing God more personally and letting go of the need for a stable list of doctrines. Answers are easy, but faith is more difficult.
Erin serves as our Dean of Students and teaches two classes, "The Art of Story" and "Biblical Themes and How to Embody Them." She and Alex are raising their son, Milo, and Erin is currently pursuing a Master's of Arts in Old Testament at Denver Seminary with the intention of teaching the Bible, helping to guide people through difficult parts of life and faith, and pursuing a career as an Old Testament scholar.
