Chris is the Director for EnterMission and a life-long missionary. Originally from Kentucky, upon completion of college, he went straight to Ecuador where he and his wife served as church planters for almost 20 years. They would later move to Spain where he would serve as the team leader for another church planting team. Chris has his masters degree from Wheaton College, is finishing his PhD from Johnson University and is the co-author of Missions In Focus and Hidden Treasures From an Urban Jungle. He is married to Nicia, and has four children, and two cats: one of which he loves and the other he tolerates.
Nicia works as a student mentor, a teacher and as EnterMission's Administrative Assistant. She grew up as an MK in Zimbabwe and Brazil, is a graduate of Cincinnati Christian University and received her teaching license through Mt. Saint Joseph. She loves people and making even the most mundane tasks fun. She enjoys hearing people’s stories and asking lots of questions ... just ask her kids!
WHAT IS EnterMission?
EnterMission is an immersive discipling experience for young adults ages 17-25; a hands-on, trade-school approch to discipleship and ministry formation that involves a semester of learning and serving stateside, followed by a semester of overseas ministry experience.
Purpose (Why we exist):
EnterMission exists to encourage, equip, and enlist young adults into a life of Kingdom impact—through immersive discipleship, hands-on ministry, and leadership formation.
Vision (What we seek to accomplish):
Our vision is to see A generation of Christ-centered leaders courageously living on mission—serving the church, transforming communities, and advancing the Kingdom wherever God sends them..
Mission Statement (How do we do it):
Through immersive experiences in community, service, and global missions, EnterMission prepares young adults to walk with Christ, lead with integrity, and serve with purpose—encouraging, equipping, and enlisting them into Kingdom life and ministry.
“Our mission statement grounds us in reality because it reminds us that transformation doesn’t happen in theory—it happens through immersive experiences: living in community, showing up to serve, and navigating the joys and tensions of cross-cultural missions. (& we now live in a multicultural, missions world).
It acknowledges that our students need more than teaching—they need to walk it out. It names the real-world practices we engage in daily: helping students walk with Christ, lead with integrity, and serve with purpose.
This isn’t lofty language—it’s our everyday rhythm: shared meals, deep conversations, messy growth, leadership challenges, culture shock, and spiritual formation. It keeps our feet on the ground, even while our vision reaches forward.”
