Our team has gotten to be a part of a Bible study with local women enrolled at Malay College. The circumstances of these women vary, and it has been interesting to swap stories and fellowship with them. We have also been a part of a woman’s Bible study in the tribe. This one started due to one of the women not being able to go to church anymore as her son is disabled and now too big for her to haul up the mountain to church. So, among language barrier, lifestyle differences, and differing testimonies, we gather under one name with the intent to study God’s word and break bread together as believers. This photo was from my turn leading Bible study. We discussed the power and importance of prayer.
Familiar with stuffing a shoebox for a child across the world? I have the privilege of working with these very children!! We take a team to their village every week to do Bible stories, games, and discipleship with them! Afterwards, we offer a meal featuring foods they do not get to eat often, which most times just looks like a nutritionally balanced plate. Something cool about this outreach is that it was started by a group of young Ati who wanted to pass on the blessing they have received from missionaries and others. At the end, we all swim and play in the river together!
School is officially in session!! We have built a good relationship with the administration at the Ati school. This means I have gotten to tutor kids in English almost every day! This part of the mission is so very special to me. Please continue praying for the health and education of students. My passion for teaching is still the same, but the context here definitely looks a lot different. We teach each other :)
New International worked with the team at Kingery Design Co. and RIIPL to bring this brand, website, and app to life. It’s the collaborative effort of many people.
We hope you enjoy!
