A joyful return to Asia

God places desires and passions on our hearts for a reason. What we don't seem to realize is that it is not done in our timing, but His. It was during my internship with NMSI back in 2011 that God revealed my calling to me for youth in Asia. As I worked my way through college, I struggled with a decision of missions or youth ministry. It was not until that summer serving alongside of YouthHOPE, I realized I didn't have to choose! God wanted to use both those passions combined. When saying goodbye back in August of 2011, I knew that I wasn't saying goodbye for good!

Two years after graduating and working full time, I felt stuck. I listened to God and struggled with this burning passion to be in Asia ministering to youth; I had a lot to learn. God taught me to be content and how to serve Him where I was. There was purpose and meaning; it wasn't just wasted waiting time. Not only did God need to strengthen me, but there were people that He needed me to build relationships with for His Kingdom. As I became content with where God had me, He opened the door for me to return to Asia!

In less than five months, I will be able to serve God by working with youth in Chiang Mai, Thailand! I am beyond excited to fulfill my calling by working alongside YouthHOPE and Prosperous Youth Foundation. It is their ministry and hope that Thai youth coming into the city for education will find Christ. I am blessed to be a part of that team for a year and excited to see where He leads me next! Praise God for His perfect timing and faithfulness!
