"What excites me is to see the lives of young people being transformed to the glory of God." This has been in Lloyd Ng'ambi's heart since God called him to serve as a full-time Synod Youth Coordinator for the Church of Central Africa Presbyterian Synod in Zambia. In this role, he is responsible for youth development and programs for about 60 churches. As Lloyd served as a pastor in different congregations both in rural villages and cities, he discovered that young people are the most vulnerable group in the church, and therefore, they are in great need for someone who can love and accept them unconditionally the way Jesus Christ loved us and died for us.
Lloyd connected to YouthHOPE at the Urbana conference in 2010 and joined New International later that year. In connection with YouthHope, the youth ministry that Lloyd leads exists to transform the lives of young people in Zambia holistically. "We want to be the light and salt to our society by demonstrating the unconditional love of our Lord Jesus Christ. We want to reach out to our fellow youth with the gospel so that young people in Zambia can experience the love of God in the midst of the many challenges which affect them daily such as: HIV and AIDS, youth unemployment, prostitution, and poverty, just to mention a few." He desires to train youth workers who can train others, and to develop a youth training farm that will generate funds for youth ministry in Zambia, providing practical training.
Lloyd has degrees in both Theology and Youth Ministry.
