Beginning ministry in late 2025, I help manage and develop a new demonstration farm project in rural Kenya. It’s part of Africa Hope, which is a well-established foundation that offers many services to the poor—job training, budgeting, family counseling, water projects, children’s programs, and many more—bringing the hope of Jesus to the area. This farm serves the last crucial need they see.
The farm aims to help reduce poverty among the Maasai with a holistic approach and show them how they can make better use of their overgrazed, semi-arid lands. This includes how they can take care of their herds by cultivating and storing grasses, how they can take care of themselves by planting agricultural crops, how they can take care of their land with regenerative agriculture, and how they can take care of their future by planting cash crops and fruit trees, and investing in value-added processes.
People come to us looking for this life-changing advice, but we also tell them about Jesus, which will prove to be the most life-changing of all!
I have received specialized training for such a time as this and will be able to help with the planning, oversight, labor, research, and technical advice to those who come (and hopefully spiritual counsel as well!). I also assist with Africa Hope’s other operations and plug into the surrounding community, being a light where I can.
