On September 28th, a powerful category 4 hurricane made landfall in Southwest Florida, and completely devastated the lives of thousands in a matter of hours. Fort Myers is the headquarters of our Center for Global Outreach (CGO), and our office building lies in the heart of the city, just minutes from downtown Fort Myers, Sanibel Island, Fort Myers Beach, Cape Coral, and Matlacha - where surging waters and hurricane force winds destroyed everything in its path.
Our community is hurting and needs your help. There is a huge need for basic supplies such as water, food, clothing, blankets, and gas, as well as larger items like shelter, furniture, beds, vehicles, and more. It will take months to clean up our city, and years to rebuild. Every dollar donated helps and will be used to directly support the local community.
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
