Drew & Christine Van Tiem

Drew and Christine met in Salford, UK, for a gap year, working with local churches and schools. A few years later, after marrying and living in Chicago in the US, they returned to the UK, living in Edinburgh. Full of joy and heartache, failures and successes, their time in Edinburgh has made them passionate about their neighbourhood of Leith and seeing people being transformed by God’s love and grown to maturity. 

Christine has found a niche in supporting globally mobile families and serves New International in this capacity, caring for and supporting NI's families and Third Culture Kids (TCKs). Trained as a social worker and having grown up as a TCK herself, she loves getting to use her unique gifts and experience to bless other families. 

Drew's main focus is in areas of wellness and soul care. This includes facilitating retreats and courses, both locally in Scotland and for NI's global workers. He is also involved in local initiatives in and around Edinburgh. 

Their favourite method of travel around Edinburgh is definitely by cargo bike.
