Cassie Smith

While serving as the Senior Project Coordinator for New International’s Short-Term Mobilization Team, Cassie visited Newcastle, Australia in 2019. Struck by the unique church culture and ministry opportunities, she returned for a two-week trip in October and again for a two-month stay at the beginning of 2020, which resulted in her decision to move full-time.

After borders reopened in 2022, Cassie made the move and has been serving alongside local churches and primary schools since. She supports the local church’s evangelistic outreach and youth ministry efforts and has the chance to teach Scripture classes in public primary schools while supporting staff and students through various programs such as Breakfast Club.

Cassie is excited to be a part of supporting the Church in Australia as they seek to train leaders to effectively teach the Gospel Down Under and feels privileged to be a part of proclaiming Christ and making disciples globally in the South Pacific.
