Programs are a great way that the Crossroads Center reaches people and one of the new gatherings that they are experimenting with are game nights. A patron of the library brings over 30 games to the library for people to choose from. With around 25 people attending these events, there are small groups of people playing games scattered throughout the library. We had held a game night at the end of May, and it was successful, so we were excited for the second one.
Daniel, the gentleman who I mentioned in my previous blog post who I met through Evangelism Explosion, came to this event. He was excited to come and was able to see the space that the library is in. Some of the people who are a part of the ministry at the library and the church we attend here also were able to meet him and spend some time playing games with him. It was also a beautiful gathering of many of the believers in Prague. For those who do not know, the Christians in Prague are few and far between, which makes the fellowship among them all the more beautiful.
Games are a fantastic avenue to foster communication in a very natural way, and they allow you to see multiple facets of a person. I was able to meet some people who were somehow connected with the Crossroads Center and get to know them through playing games as well as people that I had already met in the past. One of the games we played was one called Hues and Cues. The object of the game is to provide one-word clues to guide people to the shade or hue of color that you have chosen. It is interesting to observe the shades that individuals from varying cultures believe to adhere to a certain clue. The discussions that followed were even more so. This is one of the beautiful aspects of living life in Prague. You get to meet and interact with people from so many different cultures, see how they love Jesus and understand the world, and enjoy and celebrate the beauty of the world that the Lord has created through the backgrounds of people that He brings together.
New International worked with the team at Kingery Design Co. and RIIPL to bring this brand, website, and app to life. It’s the collaborative effort of many people.
We hope you enjoy!
