A Cross-Cultural Church Planter is needed immediately for Sydney, Australia. We are seeking an experienced or retired pastor to guide a group of Christians already meeting in Sydney to take them from a small fellowship into a functioning church. Skills in discipling, teaching and preaching are required, as well as strong leadership skills and ability to lead the new church in outreach and organization. This position requires support raising, with some financial help from the church. A two-year minimum commitment is required.
Applicants should have a deep and dynamic relationship with Jesus that spills over in an abundance of love and deep concern for the lost. They should have at least 10 or more years of church ministry experience. They should have proven involvement in discipleship, church leadership and clearly demonstrate involvement with evangelism and outreach. They should also be comfortable in working in highly secular cultures and able to relate with people who profess no belief in God. Candidates should be culturally adaptable and flexible.
