It is no secret that Thailand holds a special place in our hearts. Maile served there in 2017, and both Luke and Maile returned together in 2018 for Joni and Friends International Family Retreat. Our trip ended with a beautiful commitment to spend the rest of our lives together. We have been praying over the years for God to open the door for us to return to serve the Thai people who we have grown to love. Providentially, God has provided us with the opportunity to return, this time as a family of four.

On June 21st, 2023, we will travel to Thailand for 6 weeks to serve alongside our dear friends and mission partners, Joey and Jasmine Tell. We will serve alongside the Tells to host two family retreats; one for missionary families affected by disabilities (July 7-15) and one for Thai families affected by disabilities (July 28-30). Our trip aligns with the arrival of the Joni and Friends internship team, giving us the opportunity to help host, mentor, and build relationships with them. Luke is eager to put his skills as a pediatric physical therapist to work, serving at the RICD Wheelchair Project. Lastly, we are excited to help with and learn more about Stronger Together, a ministry focused on helping Thai Christian churches to expand and be better equipped to serve families through disability ministry within the church.

We are so thankful for this opportunity. We ask that you prayerfully consider partnering with us in funding the cost of this trip. The cost of our trip is budgeted to be $13,525. This will cover all of our expenses for the entire 6 weeks.
