Elizabeth is from the North Georgia area and a 1991 graduate of Georgia State University. She is part of Browns Bridge Church in Cumming, Georgia, a campus of North Point Ministries (NPM) in Alpharetta, Georgia. She has volunteered as a small group leader for single women, middle and high school students, mentored young ladies from Wellspring Living, has taken part in several short-term mission trips to Macedonia since May 2011, and has participated as a team member on "God's Warriors" for Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) in North Metro Atlanta.
God has called Elizabeth to serve with at-risk kids and orphans in Skopje, Macedonia. She has been serving with the "25th of May" at-risk child/orphan institution since December 2013. There are several state-run child/orphan institutions that have GREAT need in establishing family home environments for these kids ranging in age from 11 to 17. Imminent vision is building new homes for orphans that will provide a safe, loving, family environment with excellent opportunities for growth in education, character, talent, and leadership. This has resulted in the creation of our non-profit organization Shields High Children Homes in Macedonia in August 2014. As of September 2018, we are waiting final approval by the Macedonian Ministry of Social Services to allow us to move forward with buying or acquiring land and building 2 incredible homes near the Skopje area in order to raise, like our own, 10 kids total, 5 in each home. Elizabeth also serves alongside Soulcraft Church in Skopje, a former international-strategic partner with North Point Ministries, whose mission is to invite people to begin and cultivate a relationship with Jesus Christ.
God miraculously lead Elizabeth to New International in early 2012. New International was a perfect fit in part because they were already represented in Skopje by wonderful leaders who have been there for nearly 15+ years. The leaders also were familiar with Soulcraft Church and the lead pastor.
Requests for prayer include opening the hearts, minds, and souls of the Macedonian people to having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ; planting seeds that produce fruit of love, hope, and victory for the kids at the "25th of May" institution; the final approval of Shields High Children Homes when it is God's timing; and that ALL ministry leaders/volunteers in Skopje (NMSI, Soulcraft, 25th of May) will persevere in God's strength and boldness and never lose hope in Him who provides us daily with everything we need.
