Adam and Laura have always had a passion for both the local church and the mission of God among the nations. After sending people to the nations, it is now their time to say “yes” and go. God’s sovereign hand on their lives has led them to move to London, England, to serve God’s people and reach the lost.
The Watson family moved from the U.S. to plant Story Church London with a hope to send from the nations in London to the nations with the gospel. Adam and Laura have been married 10 years and have served in both church and parachurch ministries across multiple nations. They have a 4 year old named Lucy and a 1 year old boy, born in London, named Jack. London is now home to this growing family who are planting a new church here near Paddington.
We love the story of the gospel, Jesus’ story. We love seeing Jesus redeem people’s stories. Story Church is a multicultural church plant in Central London. We pray to send from the nations to the nations of the world to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ. The Watsons are also partnering with Commission Global to train church leaders and will be planting a church out of a historic church in downtown London. Adam serves as a trainer for Commission leading the Level 2: TLM course and serves as mentor to the Westminster Chapel Union School of Theology Learning Community as well. While they were both attending Dallas Theological Seminary, Adam and Laura developed a heart for church planting and leadership development. Adam is also continuing his Doctorate of Educational Ministries at Dallas Theological Seminary. His focus is in International Ministry Residencies in an effort to train and develop leaders to be sent to the nations with access to seminary education.
London is uniquely a global gateway city to the rest of the world with people from nearly every tribe, tongue and nation present. Over 300 languages are spoken in London and over 50% of Londoners today were born outside of the United Kingdom. There are over 1 million Muslims living in central London as of 2022. London was once a city that helped spur on the modern missions movement to nations around the world. Now missionaries from those same nations where the gospel had been taken, are returning to London to reach London for Jesus once again. London today is described as one of the loneliest major cities in the world. England is now considered to be a post-Christian nation, with only 3% of Brits attending an evangelical or gospel-preaching church.
The Watsons affiliated with New International in 2023. Would you be willing to partner with them in both prayer and finances? Please feel free to reach out to the Watsons via email or on their website. They would love to connect with you and share more of what Jesus is doing in the nations.
