I’m Benjamin, and grew up in Watsontown, Pennsylvania. I recently graduated High School and have decided to take a step out of my planned path. My parents were in the Navy, so in my early life I had always moved around a lot. Once we moved to Pennsylvania, my Dad left the Navy and we settled in one place. I grew up in the church, with both my parents being involved. My Mom organizes VBS every year, and my Dad is charge of our youth group and preaches. I have helped out in the church for a long time from working the electronics to giving closing prayers and communion meditations. My personal relationship with God began to grow when I was around 13-14. I began digging deeper into the Word of God and not just learning the stories of the Bible. I was able to build a relationship; not something that was only built off of knowledge and understanding. I first heard about EnterMission at the church camp that I attend, and kept thinking about it from the moment I heard about it. I decided to join because I felt like I need to do something before going to college or starting e career. I have always wanted to take a mission trip when hearing stories of people that have gone to serve, and this felt like the answer. I saw EnterMission as a way to experience life outside of what I grew up with. I will be able to get a new perspective on other people’s and my own life, while being able to grow my relationship with God in the process.
