While on tour in South Dakota, Willet took their tour into Avera Behavioral Hospital to minister to at risk students that couldn't be released for Lifelight Festival. While there, we met a girl who had seen the band play 3 years ago at her church! The day before the band came to the hospital she had attempted suicide and ended up there. After the band played, she shared a testimony that for the first time in years, she felt loved because the band was willing to come to the hospital to play!
Rescue. Redemption. Recovery.
Avera Hospital actually has a partnership with the band and uses Willet songs in their music therapy classes! After Lifelight Festival, we received an e-mail from a youth pastor who shared that God confirmed his call to global missions during Willet's set because of the emphasis that the band put on global mssions and The Great Commission! God is sending out the laborers!
While we were packing up from a show on a tour stop in Minnesota, a lady returned to the Church and began to share that one of her students trusted Jesus on the way home from the concert because the lyrics to our songs weighed so heavily on her heart! Hallelujah! At another city in Minnesota, Jeremy prayed with a young women to trust Christ for the first time after she was deeply impacted by the song “Did you mean what you said?" from the new album.
We praise God for these opportunities for life transformation through Willet. Learn more about their ministry here.
