When we first met Noolepeta we were surprised because she would start laughing loudly when we prayed at the start of our meeting.
Noolepeta is one of the Community Health Evangelism (CHE) members served by AfricaHope. She is very humble and keeps her home very clean, but when we started visiting Isinon she was a very different woman. When we first met Noolepeta we were surprised because she would start laughing loudly when we prayed at the start of our meeting. We were sad because we knew she didn't know the importance of prayer.
As we learned together each week, she began to change. She learned to keep quiet during prayer, and even began praying on occasion. Although she didn't have a relationship with Jesus yet, we thanked God because she was learning.
In 2013, the church ministry invited the CHE members to a discipleship retreat for new believers that was being held at the AfricaHope Center. Noolepeta was very happy to attend the retreat. During the retreat she decided to give her life to Jesus, and we were very happy along with the other CHE members for her decision.
When she first went back home she was not very serious about her salvation. Rather than join the church she just decided to stay at home. A few months later she became so ill that she was not able to come to the CHE meetings. She knew that Jesus is the only way and she also decided that she should be serious in her salvation. She now goes to church every Sunday and she has also shared her testimony with her family members and many of them have started attending church. Please pray for the on-going ministry in Isinon and for Noolepeta and her family!
