About Saitoti
Saitoti is a boy born in 2015. He lives with his family in Narok County, Kenya, in a small home with mud walls and dirt floors. They cook food on an open fire inside the house and do not have access to clean water. Saitoti has not had an opportunity to attend school yet. A small percentage of unsponsored children can attend school. Many young boys are removed from school to watch over the herds of their fathers or uncles, limiting their future employment opportunities.
Your sponsorship can provide Saitoti with hope and an extraordinary future.
About Narok County
Narok County is a region in Southwest Kenya, along the Great Rift Valley. The predominant tribe in the county is the Maasai tribe. In rural areas, employment opportunities are lacking. The frequent droughts, dusty plains, and limited access to water make planting and growing crops incredibly difficult. The primary source of income is through raising livestock, which has a high startup cost and is devastating to the local ecology.
What does my sponsorship do?
Your sponsorship provides Saitoti and his family with the tools they need not just to survive but to thrive. New International uses direct cash transfers to empower Saitoti’s family in making wise decisions for their family. After a financial training course, Saitoti’s guardian will begin receiving a small monthly stipend to help bridge the gap of poverty.
Your sponsorship will also provide education for Saitoti. All of-age children are enrolled in their local school with a scholarship, and studies show that every year in school will increase Saitoti’s future income by 10%.
Part of your sponsorship will also provide spiritual and emotional care for Saitoti and his family. Missionaries and social workers will visit him to provide counseling, training and to share the good news of Jesus Christ.
90% of your sponsorship will go directly toward the improvement of Saitoti and his family. Our ministry has reduced poverty levels by an average of 36% in the first five years of sponsorship.
Join us in changing Saitoti’s world.
